The background of your main photo will be removed (silhouetted) and your image will be placed within a Legion frame and posted on the Rebel Legion website along with your costume information. We only host one photo per costume, if you would like to show additional photos, you may post links to them yourself in your costume profile. If you are a Jedi costumer, please refrain from adding the saber-blade effect in your photo - we will take care of this for you. If you would like to see examples of what your photo might look like, please click here.
To begin the journey of becoming part of the Rebel Legion, please first register for our forums. You will immediately receive a confirmation email with your log-in information. Once you receive that email, you will be able to log-in and start posting on the Legion Forums. Although you will not be able to see member only areas until your costume is approved. Once your forum registration is complete, please click 'Register A Costume and Upgrade to Rebel Legion Membership', found in the forum and costume controls area of the forums.
First, select your Rebel Legion base or outpost. If you currently do not live in a covered area, please select 'Outer Rim'. Please be sure you select the right location as you might be sent base specific emails from your Commanding Officer or Rebel Legion Council.
Once you have selected your base location, now it is time to fill in your costume information. If you are not sure which category your costume falls into, please review our costume standards.
*Note* - Jedi that are any other color than the earth-tones/browns should apply as a New Republic Jedi, unless they are portraying a character from the Prequels/KOTOR area.
For the Character name, please only enter the name of that particular face character. (ex: Please don't call yourself Han Solo if you're wearing an X-Wing Pilot costume.
Once you've completed filling out the profile area, you will have to upload the photo(s) of your costume. Please be sure that you've followed the photo guidelines before submitting, or are including additional photos that display the entire costume if needed. Again, we will only keep one photo on file, so if other photos are desired, please upload those to a photo sharing site like Photobucket, Flickr, Picasas, etc, to place a link in your profile.
Once everything is filled out and photos are uploaded - Click "Submit Applicaton"
You should receive a response from Enlistment within two (2) weeks of submitting your application. If you have not heard from anyone after two weeks, please send us an email and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Once your membership is approved, you will receive a confirmation email welcoming you to the Legion. Included in this message will be some information on your local Base or Outpost. The officers in your Base or Outpost will be notified when your membership is approved. Also included in the email will be a copy of our Club Charter, it is essential that all new members read through this document, as it defines what and how we do things.
If you are not approved for membership, you will receive an email explaining why. We are more than happy to discuss our decision in a mature and civil manner. And we are always willing to help you get the materials and resources needed to make your costume acceptable for Legion Membership.
When an application is denied, we do not keep the information submitted on file, and is deleted to conserve server space. However, you will still be able to post on the forums. If you choose to re-apply, you will need to fill out the application again since it will no longer be in our database.
Once you're a Member of the Rebel Legion the Officers of your local Base or Outpost, as well as your fellow members, will be able to let you know how to find out about local events so you can get out there and have some fun! It is best to check your Base forum and Event Calendar regularly. You can choose to be notified of local events by email only.
Many bases have their own Website, Yahoo or Google groups too. So get out there and introduce yourself to your fellow members, and get to know your Base Command Staff too. Before long you'll wonder how you ever lived with out all of the excitement of being a part of the Rebel Legion.
